The working-day adjusted industrial production in December 2022 decreased by 2.4% compared to the same month of the previous year, indicating a slowdown in the recovery of the economy from the corona crisis. Compared to November 2022, the total seasonally and working-day adjusted industrial production increased by 0.1%.
Observing the annual growth rates according to the Main Industrial Groupings (MIGs 2009), industrial production decreased in four out of five aggregates. The largest decrease was recorded in Energy (AE), of 10.1%, particularly in division 35 Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, of 12.0%. Non-durable consumer goods (CN) followed, with a decrease of 4.9%, Durable consumer goods (CD), with a decrease of 4.0%, and Intermediate goods (AI), with a decrease of 3.8%.
The calculation of the MIGs 2009. aggregates for the industrial production volume index was done by grouping of the NKD 2007. activities at the level of groups or divisions within divisions B, C and D (05.1 – 35.2) as follows, using alphabetic marks of abbreviations:
