In the context of the pandemic, epidemiological measures and recommendations for the prevention of the spread of the COVID-19 disease did not significantly affect industrial production of the Republic of Croatia in March 2022. The working-day adjusted industrial production in March 2022 decreased by 1.9% compared to March 2021. Compared to February 2022, the total seasonally and working-day adjusted industrial production decreased by 2.6%.
Observing the annual growth rates according to the Main Industrial Groupings (MIGs 2009), industrial production decreased in four out of five aggregates. The largest decrease was recorded in Capital goods (BB), of 6.7%, mostly in division 33 Repair and installation of machinery and equipment, of 41.7%. It was followed by a decrease in industrial production in Energy (AE), of 4.0%, Non-durable consumer goods (CN), of 3.3%, and Durable consumer goods (CD), of 2.3%.
The calculation of the MIGs 2009. aggregates for the industrial production volume index was done by grouping of the NKD 2007. activities at the level of groups or divisions within divisions B, C and D (05.1 – 35.2) as follows, using alphabetic marks of abbreviations:
Al Intermediate goods: the NKD 2007. divisions and groups: 07 – 09, 10.6, 10.9, 13.1 – 13.3, 16, 17, 20.1 – 20.3, 20.5, 20.6, 22 – 24, 25.5 – 25.7, 25.9, 26.1, 26.8, 27.1 – 27.4 and 27.9
AE Energy: the NKD 2007. divisions: 05, 06, 19 and 35 (excluding 35.3)
BB Capital goods: the NKD 2007. divisions and groups: 25.1 – 25.4, 26.2, 26.3, 26.5, 26.6, 28, 29, 30.1 – 30.4, 32.5 and 33
CD Consumer durables: the NKD 2007. divisions and groups: 26.4, 26.7, 27.5, 30.9, 31, 32.1 and 32.2
