Thanks to the favourable epidemiological situation connected with the COVID-19 pandemic, a positive trend in the industrial production of the Republic of Croatia continued in September as well. The working-day adjusted industrial production in September 2021 increased by 2.8% compared to September 2020. Compared to August 2021, the total seasonally and working-day adjusted industrial production decreased by 1.2%.
Observing the annual growth rates according to the Main Industrial Groupings (MIGs 2009), industrial production increased in four out of five aggregates. The largest increase was recorded in Intermediate goods (AI), of 4.1%, namely in divisions 13 Manufacture of textiles, which increased by 9.9%, and 17 Manufacture of paper and paper products, which increased by 8.2%. The increase was also recorded in the following aggregates: Capital goods (BB), of 2.7%, Non-durable consumer goods (CN), of 2.2%, and Energy (AE), of 1.4%. Industrial production decreased in Durable consumer goods (CD), by 3.7%.
Observing the NKD 2007. divisions, of a total of 28 divisions included in the calculation of the industrial production volume index, 19 divisions recorded an increase. The highest increase was recorded in division 11 Manufacture of beverages, of 21.3%, while the largest decrease was recorded in division 29 Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, of 42.2%.
The calculation of the MIGs 2009. aggregates for the industrial production volume index was done by grouping of the NKD 2007. activities at the level of groups or divisions within divisions B, C and D (05.1 – 35.2) as follows, using alphabetic marks of abbreviations:
Al Intermediate goods: the NKD 2007. divisions and groups: 07 – 09, 10.6, 10.9, 13.1 – 13.3, 16, 17, 20.1 – 20.3, 20.5, 20.6, 22 – 24, 25.5 – 25.7, 25.9, 26.1, 26.8, 27.1 – 27.4 and 27.9
AE Energy: the NKD 2007. divisions: 05, 06, 19 and 35 (excluding 35.3)
BB Capital goods: the NKD 2007. divisions and groups: 25.1 – 25.4, 26.2, 26.3, 26.5, 26.6, 28, 29, 30.1 – 30.4, 32.5 and 33
CD Consumer durables: the NKD 2007. divisions and groups: 26.4, 26.7, 27.5, 30.9, 31, 32.1 and 32.2
CN Consumer non-durables: the NKD 2007. divisions and groups: 10.1 – 10.5, 10.7, 10.8, 11, 12, 13.9, 14, 15, 18, 20.4, 21, 32.3, 32.4 and 32.9.
