In March 2021 compared to March 2020, the total working-day adjusted industrial turnover increased by 11.6%. Compared to March 2020, when a number of measures were introduced to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, including the closure of state borders and the complete or partial closure of factories, the measures in March 2021 were much milder. In March 2021 compared to March 2020, an increase of 5.9% was recorded in industrial turnover on the domestic market and of 23.5% on the non-domestic market, which is a direct consequence of the gradual loosening of epidemiological measures.
The increase in sales income was present in three out of five aggregates. According to the Main Industrial Groupings (MIGs 2009), the largest increase, of 43.1%, was recorded in Durable consumer goods (CD), Capital goods (BB) increased by 25.7% and Intermediate goods (AI) by 25.6% On the other hand, industrial turnover decreased in Energy (AE), by 5.3%, and in Non-durable consumer goods (CN), by 2.5%.
The calculation of the MIGs 2009. aggregates was done by grouping of the NKD 2007. activities at the level of groups or divisions within sections B and C (05.1 – 33.2) as follows, using alphabetic marks of abbreviations, was done as follows:
