Effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on socioeconomic indicators

INDUSTRIAL TURNOVER, JUNE 2022

In June 2022, epidemiological measures aimed at preventing the spread of the COVID-19 disease were abolished in the Republic of Croatia. At the same time, the total seasonally and working-day adjusted industrial turnover in the Republic of Croatia in that same month, as compared to the previous month of 2022, increased by 1.1%, while compared to the same month of the previous year, the total working-day adjusted industrial turnover also increased, by 27.8%.

According to the Main Industrial Groupings (MIGs 2009), the sales income increased in all five aggregates. The largest increase was recorded in Energy (AE), of 118.8%, followed by the increase in these aggregates: Durable consumer goods (CD), of 37.0%, Intermediate goods (AI), of 21.8%, Non-durable consumer goods (CN), of 21.6%, and Capital goods (BB), of 11.4%.

Comparing the destination of markets in the same period, the industrial turnover on domestic market increased by 29.8% and on non-domestic market by 25.2%.

The calculation of the MIGs 2009. aggregates was done by grouping of the NKD 2007. activities at the level of groups or divisions within sections B and C (05.1 – 33.2) as follows, using alphabetic marks of abbreviations, was done as follows:

Al Intermediate goods: the NKD 2007. divisions and groups: 07 – 09, 10.6, 10.9, 13.1 – 13.3, 16, 17, 20.1 – 20.3, 20.5, 20.6, 22 – 24, 25.5 – 25.7, 25.9, 26.1, 26.8, 27.1 – 27.4 and 27.9
AE Energy: the NKD 2007. divisions: 05, 06 and 19
BB Capital goods: the NKD 2007. divisions and groups: 25.1 – 25.4, 26.2, 26.3, 26.5, 26.6, 28, 29, 30.1 – 30.4, 32.5 and 33
CD Consumer durables: the NKD 2007. divisions and groups: 26.4, 26.7, 27.5, 30.9, 31, 32.1 and 32.2
CN Consumer non-durables: the NKD 2007. divisions and groups: 10.1 – 10.5, 10.7, 10.8, 11, 12, 13.9, 14, 15, 18, 20.4, 21, 32.3, 32.4 and 32.9.
