Entry in the Register of Business Entities

 

The Croatian Bureau of Statistics keeps the Register of Business Entities pursuant to the Act on the National Classification of Activities (NN, No. 98/94), the Decision on the National Classification of Activities − NKD 2007. (NN, Nos 58/07 and 72/07) and the Ordinance on the Classification of Business Entities According to the National Classification of Activities − NKD 2007. (NN, Nos. 55/16 and 35/18).

The Register of Business Entities includes legal entities, natural persons engaged in activities according to the law, public government bodies (government administration bodies, other government bodies, local and regional self-government units, legal entities and other public authorities, legal entities established by the Republic of Croatia or by a local and regional self-government unit, legal entities performing public service, legal entities financed mostly or completely from the state or local and regional self-government units’ budgets, i.e. from public funds (taxes, provisions etc.) on the basis of a special act as well as trade companies in which the Republic of Croatia or the local and regional self-government units hold individual or joint majority ownership, classified according to the National Classification of Activities – NKD 2007.

On the entry in the Register of Business Entities, the Croatian Bureau of Statistics issues to business entities and parts thereof the Notification on the Classification of Business Entities according to the NKD 2007.

 

 

In order to register a business entity, the following documents need to be submitted:

 

1. A filled-in RPS-1 form signed by a person who filled in the registration form and by CEO/authorised person of the business entity. The form can be downloaded here as RPS-1.doc or RPS-1.pdf. - for easier selection of the main activity in item 11 MAIN ACTIVITY (RPS-2), you can use the NKD Browser

2. A copy of a decision issued by an authorised body on creation and attestation on OIB for consideration.

 

  

 

In order to register a part of a business entity, the following documents need to be submitted:

 

1. A filled-in RPS-2 form signed by a person who filled in the registration form and by CEO/authorised person of the business entity. The form can be downloaded here as RPS-2.doc or RPS-2.pdf. - for easier selection of the main activity in item 2 ACTIVITY (RPS-2), you can use the NKD Browser

2. A copy either of a Decision on creation of a part of the business entity, or a decision issued by an authorised body on fulfilling terms required by law, or a decision on registration of a part of the business entity into a specific register for consideration.

 

  

A business entity shall submit an application for the registration of a part of the business entity when:

 

1. It has a branch office, plant etc., which are registered with an authorised body

2. It has parts that are either not registered with an authorised body and are engaged, on a different location, i.e. in different headquarters, in the same or a different activity or those that are engaged, at the same address, i.e. in the same headquarters, in a different activity

3. It has offices, branch offices, stations etc., as defined by law.
