1) Including all seaports visited by foreign vessels on a cruise during their sojourn in the Republic of Croatia and not only the seaports of the first entrance
The data source is the regular survey Cruises of Foreign Vessels in the Republic of Croatia (TU-19 form) carried out on a monthly basis.
Data collection is done by using the reporting method. Reporting units are port authorities engaged in the management, construction and usage of seaports open for public traffic. The establishment and operation of port authorities is defined by the Seaport Act (NN, No. 108/95). The report is filled in by the port authority that is in charge of a port which is recorded to be a vessel’s first entrance into the Croatian territorial waters.
Observation unit for this survey is a foreign vessel on a tourist cruise that enters the Croatian territorial waters.
A cruise is a tourist journey that lasts for several days according to a specified itinerary (elaborated plan of a journey) for cruises.
