2014/2015 ACADEMIC YEAR

U akademskoj godini 2014./2015. na visokim je učilištima zaposlen na temelju ugovora o radu ili angažirano na temelju ugovora o djelu 16 121 nastavnik i suradnik u nastavi. Iskazan ekvivalentom pune zaposlenosti/angažiranosti, ukupan broj nastavnika i suradnika u nastavi jest 11 743,1. Od toga je 84,0% udio nastavnika i suradnika u nastavi koji predaju na temelju ugovora o radu, a 16,0% udio nastavnika i suradnika u nastavi koji predaju na temelju ugovora o djelu.		In the 2014/2015 academic year, there were 16 121 members of academic staff working at institutions of higher education on employment contract or contractual agreement basis. Expressed by the full-time equivalent, the total number of members of academic staff amounted to 11 743.1, out of which the share of those working on the employment contract basis was 84.0% and of those working on the contractual agreement basis was 16.0%.

Od ukupnog broja nastavnika i suradnika u nastavi zaposlenih na temelju ugovora o radu, 64,3% jesu doktori znanosti, a 10,8% magistri znanosti i magistri/specijalisti. Udio žena zaposlenih na temelju ugovora o radu jest 48,9% (od toga je udio žena s doktoratom 60,2%, a udio žena magistara znanosti i magistara/specijalista 11,7%).		Out of the total number of academic staff working on the employment contract basis, there were 64.3% of doctors of science and 10.8% of masters of science and masters/specialists. The share of women in the total number of academic staff working on the employment contract basis was 48.9% (the share of women holding a degree of doctor of science was 60.2%, while 11.7% of women held a degree of masters of science and masters/specialists).

Od ukupnog broja nastavnika i suradnika u nastavi angažiranih na temelju ugovora o djelu 46,3% jesu žene. Među nastavnicima i suradnicima u nastavi angažiranima na temelju ugovora o djelu 39,9% je doktora znanosti (udio žena s doktoratom je 32,5%), a udio magistara znanosti i magistara/specijalista je 20,7% (udio žena je 22,9%).		The share of women in the total number of academic staff working on the contractual agreement basis was 46.3%. There were 39.9% of doctors of science among academic staff working on the contractual agreement basis (the share of women holding a degree of doctor of science was 32.5%), and 20.7% of masters of science and masters/specialists (the share of women was 22.9%).

Podaci su dobiveni kao izračun nastavnika i suradnika u nastavi izražen jedinicom pune zaposlenosti/angažiranosti.

Izvori podataka i metode prikupljanja podataka		*Sources and methods of data collection*

Podaci su rezultat statističke obrade podataka koje u Godišnjem izvještaju o nastavnom osoblju visokih učilišta (obrazac ŠV-60) daju visoka učilišta u Republici Hrvatskoj, a odnose se na početak akademske godine.		Data are the result of statistical processing of data collected from the institutions of higher education in the Republic of Croatia through the Annual Report on Academic Staff (ŠV-60 form) at the beginning of an academic year.


Obuhvat i usporedivost		*Coverage and comparability*

Istraživanjem su obuhvaćena visoka učilišta u Republici Hrvatskoj i podaci su usporedivi s podacima iz prijašnjih akademskih godina.		The survey covers institutions of higher education in the Republic of Croatia and data are comparable to those from the previous academic years.


Definicije i objašnjenja		*Definitions and explanations*

Visoka učilišta jesu sveučilište te fakultet i umjetnička akademija u njegovu sastavu; veleučilište i visoka škola.		*Institutions of higher education* are universities as well as faculties and art academies as their component part, polytechnics and schools of professional higher education.

Visoka učilišta mogu biti javna i privatna.		Institutions of higher education can be public and private.

Sveučilište je ustanova koja osniva i provodi sveučilišne studije u najmanje dva znanstvena ili umjetnička područja u većem broju polja te interdisciplinarne studije kao autonomni i integrirani proces, neposredno ili putem svojih fakulteta, umjetničkih akademija i odjela.		*University* is an institution that establishes and conducts university and interdisciplinary studies in at least two areas of scientific or artistic activity in a number of fields, as an autonomous and integrated process, indirectly or through its faculties, art academies and departments.

Sastavnice sveučilišta jesu fakulteti, umjetničke akademije, odjeli i instituti te druge sastavnice u skladu sa zakonom.		University comprises the following: faculties, art academies, departments and institutes and other units according to the law.

Sveučilište i njegove sastavnice mogu izvoditi i stručne studije.		Professional studies can also be taught at universities and their units.

Fakultet je visoko učilište koje kao sastavnica sveučilišta ustrojava i izvodi sveučilišne studije te razvija znanstveni i stručni rad u jednome ili više znanstvenih i stručnih polja, a može izvoditi i stručne studije.		*Faculty* is an institution of higher education, a component part of a university, where university studies are organised and conducted and where scientific and professional work in one or more scientific or professional fields are developed. Professional studies can also be conducted there.

Umjetnička akademija jest visoko učilište koje kao sastavnica sveučilišta ustrojava i izvodi sveučilišne umjetničke studije te razvija vrhunsko stvaralaštvo i znanstvenoistraživačku djelatnost u području umjetnosti, a može izvoditi i stručne studije.		*Art academy* is an institution of higher education, a component part of a university, where artistic studies are organised and conducted and where top artistic endeavours and scientific and research activity in the field of art are nourished. Professional studies can also be conducted there.

Sveučilišni odjel osniva se kao sastavnica sveučilišta koja sudjeluje u izvedbi studijskih programa te razvija znanstveni, umjetnički i stručni rad u jednome znanstvenom polju ili interdisciplinarnome znanstvenom području te sudjeluje u izvedbi studija.		*University department* is a component part of a university, where university courses are taught and where scientific, artistic or professional work in a particular field of science or an interdisciplinary area is developed.

Veleučilište i visoka škola jesu ustanove koje ustrojavaju i izvode stručne studije. Veleučilište je visoka škola koja izvodi barem tri različita studija iz barem tri različita polja i visoke škole ne mogu biti njezine sastavnice.		*Polytechnic and school of professional higher education* are institutions that establish and conduct professional studies. Polytechnic is a school of higher education that conducts at least three different studies in at least three different fields and cannot have schools of professional higher education as its component parts.

Akademska godina počinje 1. listopada tekuće, a završava 30. rujna sljedeće kalendarske godine.		*Academic year* starts on 1 October of the current year and ends on 30 September of the following calendar year.

Na visokim učilištima nastavnici se biraju u znanstveno-nastavna i umjetničko-nastavna, nastavna, suradnička i stručna zvanja.		At the institutions of higher education teachers are elected to scientific-educational, artistic-educational, educational, associate and professional titles.

Visoko učilište može povjeriti izvedbu nastave gostujućim profesorima ili nastavnicima bez izbora u znanstveno-nastavna zvanja.		The institutions of higher education may entrust the teaching to visiting professors or teachers without election to the scientific-educational title.

Znanstveno-nastavna zvanja i umjetničko-nastavna zvanja jesu docent, izvanredni profesor i redoviti profesor.		*Scientific-educational titles and artistic-educational titles* are assistant professor, associate professor and full professor.

Nastavna zvanja jesu predavač, viši predavač, profesor visoke škole, lektor, viši lektor, umjetnički suradnik i viši umjetnički suradnik.		*Educational titles* are lecturer, senior lecturer, college professor, language instructor, senior language instructor, artistic associate and senior artistic associate.

Suradnička zvanja jesu asistent i viši asistent.		*Associate titles* are assistant and senior assistant.

Stručna zvanja jesu stručni suradnik, viši stručni suradnik i stručni savjetnik.		*Professional titles* are professional associate, senior professional associate and professional adviser.

Gostujući profesori ili nastavnici jesu osobe (znanstvenici, umjetnici ili stručnjaci) koje mogu provoditi nastavu na visokim učilištima bez obveze sklapanja ugovora o radu, a u skladu s odredbama statuta i bez izbora u znanstveno-nastavno zvanje.		*Visiting professors or teachers* are persons (scientists, artists or professionals) that can teach at institutions of higher education without the obligation of concluding an employment contract with them, and in conformity with the provisions of the statute without election to the scientific-educational title.

Ukupan broj nastavnika nije stvarni broj osoba; broj nastavnika iskazanih ekvivalentom pune zaposlenosti/angažiranosti može odgovarati stvarnom broju osoba.		The total number of teachers is not an actual number of physical persons; the number of teachers expressed as a full-time equivalent would correspond to the actual number of physical persons.

Ekvivalent punoga radnog vremena (FTE) iskazuje se u čovjek/godinama, a označuje vrijeme koje je zaposleni radio kao udio punoga radnog vremena.		*Full-time equivalent (FTE)* is expressed in person-years and presents time as a share of full working time in which persons in employment are engaged in work.

Podaci za nastavnike koji predaju strane jezike (tablica 4.) odnose se na prethodnu akademsku godinu.
