There were 40 foreign vessels on cruise that arrived in seaports

U razdoblju od siječnja do svibnja 2018. u hrvatske morske luke uplovilo je 40 stranih brodova za kružna putovanja, koji su ostvarili 145 kružnih putovanja. Na tim brodovima bilo je 208 tisuća putnika, koji su u Hrvatskoj boravili 308 dana.

In the period from January to May 2018, there were 40 foreign vessels on cruise that arrived in Croatian seaports, which realised 145 journeys. A total of 208 thousand passengers were on board and they stayed for 308 days in Croatia.

Najveći broj putovanja ostvarili su brodovi pod zastavom Malte (31 putovanje) i Italije (30 putovanja), dok je najveći broj putnika pristigao brodovima pod zastavom Italije (69 tisuća putnika) i Paname (61 tisuća putnika).

The highest number of cruises was realised by vessels under the flag of Malta (31 cruises) and Italy (30 cruises), while the highest number of passengers on board the arrived vessels were under the flag of Italy (69 thousand passengers) and Panama (61 thousand passengers).

Od ukupno 145 kružnih putovanja, najviše putovanja ostvareno je u Dubrovačko-neretvanskoj (57,2%) i Splitsko-dalmatinskoj županiji (20,7%), što je ukupno 77,9%. Ostalih 22,1% putovanja ostvareno je u sljedećim županijama: Istarskoj (8,3%), Zadarskoj (7,6%), Šibensko-kninskoj (4,8%) i Primorsko-goranskoj (1,4%).

Out of a total of 145 journeys of foreign vessels on cruise, the majority was realised in the County of Dubrovnik-Neretva (57.2%) and the County of Split-Dalmatia (20.7%), which makes up to a total of 77.9%. The remaining 22.1% of journeys were realised in the following counties: Istria (8.3%), Zadar (7.6%), Šibenik-Knin (4.8%) and Primorje-Gorski kotar (1.4%).

Najviše posjeta stranih brodova za kružna putovanja imala je luka Dubrovnik (112 posjeta), slijede luke Split (62 posjeta) i Zadar (29 posjeta).

The most visits of foreign vessels on cruise were realised in the seaport of Dubrovnik (112 visits), followed by the seaports of Split (62 visits) and Zadar (29 visits).

Manje putovanja i dana boravka stranih brodova za kružna putovanja, a više putnika

Fewer cruises and sojourns of foreign vessels on cruise,  but more passengers

U razdoblju od siječnja do svibnja 2018. broj putovanja stranih brodova za kružna putovanja manji je za 3,3%, a ukupan broj dana boravka brodova u istom razdoblju manji je za 11,2%. U spomenutom razdoblju broj putnika na tim brodovima veći je za 17,0% u odnosu na isto razdoblje 2017.

In the period from January to May 2018, the number of journeys of foreign vessels on cruise decreased by 3.3% and the total number of sojourns in Croatia by 11.2%. In the same period, the number of passengers on board increased by 17.0%, as compared to the same period in 2017.

The purpose of the statistical survey

Svrha statističkog istraživanja jest praćenje ulazaka stranih brodova za kružna putovanja u teritorijalno more Republike Hrvatske, broja putnika na brodu te dana boravka broda u teritorijalnome moru Republike Hrvatske. Rezultati ovog istraživanja daju pokazatelje potrebne za analizu turizma u Republici Hrvatskoj.

The statistical survey is aimed at monitoring the entries of foreign vessels on cruise in the internal sea waters of the Republic of Croatia, the number of passengers aboard and the days in which a ship stays in the internal sea waters of the Republic of Croatia. The results of this survey provide indicators used in the analysis of tourism in the Republic of Croatia.

Istraživanje se provodi prema Zakonu o službenoj statistici (NN, br. 103/03., 75/09., 59/12. i 12/13.) i Godišnjemu provedbenom planu statističkih aktivnosti Republike Hrvatske 2018. (NN, br. 33/18.).

The survey is carried out on the basis of the Official Statistics Act (NN, Nos 103/03, 75/09, 59/12 and 12/13) and the Annual Implementation Plan of Statistical Activities of the Republic of Croatia 2018 (NN, No. 33/18).

Sources and methods of data collection

Izvor podataka za statističko istraživanje o kružnim putovanjima stranih brodova u Republici Hrvatskoj jest Hrvatski integrirani pomorski informacijski sustav (CIMIS).

The data source for the statistical survey on cruises of foreign vessels in the Republic of Croatia is the Croatian Integrated Maritime Information System (CIMIS).

Od 1. srpnja 2013. u skladu s Pravilnikom o ispravama, dokumentima i podacima o pomorskom prometu te o njihovoj dostavi, prikupljanju i razmjeni, kao i o načinu i uvjetima izdavanja odobrenja za slobodan promet s obalom (NN, br. 70/13.), stupila je na snagu obveza elektroničkog poslovanja u službenim postupcima najave i prijave dolazaka i odlazaka brodova u međunarodnoj plovidbi uporabom informacijskog sustava CIMIS. U taj sustav brodovi putem ovlaštenih pomorskih agenata i brodara dostavljaju, među ostalim podacima, i podatke o prometu robe i putnicima. Točnost i cjelovitost podataka u službenom postupku prijave verificira lučka kapetanija.

Since 1 July 2013, in accordance with the Ordinance on Documents and Data on Maritime Transport, their Delivery, Collection and Exchange as well as Terms and Methods of Issuing Permits for Free Use of Inshore Traffic Zone (NN, No. 70/13), the obligation of e-business in official procedures of the announcement and registration of arrivals and departures of ships in international navigation by applying the CIMIS – the Croatian Integrated Maritime Information System has entered into force. Among other data, ships submit information on the traffic of goods and passengers to CIMIS through authorised maritime agents and shippers. Accuracy and completeness of data in the official proceedings of registration is verified by harbour master’s offices.

Državni zavod za statistiku preuzima dio baze podataka od Ministarstva mora, prometa i infrastrukture te je dalje statistički obrađuje.

The Croatian Bureau of Statistics takes over a part of the database from the Ministry of Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, after which it performs further processing.

Jedinica promatranja za ovo istraživanje jest strani brod koji je na turističkome kružnom putovanju i ulazi u teritorijalno more Republike Hrvatske.

Observation unit for this survey is a foreign vessel on a tourist cruise that enters the internal sea waters of the Republic of Croatia.

Podaci o kružnim putovanjima stranih brodova obuhvaćaju samo morske luke prvog ulaska stranog broda za kružno putovanje u teritorijalno more Republike Hrvatske (tablica 1., tablica 2. i tablica 3.).

Data on foreign vessels on cruise cover only seaports of the first entry of a foreign vessel into the internal sea waters of the Republic of Croatia (table 1, table 2 and table 3).

U grafikonu G-2. prikazane su najposjećenije morske luke koje su  strani brodovi za kružna putovanja posjetili za vrijeme boravka u teritorijalnome moru Republike Hrvatske.

Data on the most visited seaports cover all seaports visited by foreign vessels on cruise during their sojourn in the Republic of Croati (graph 2).

Brod za kružna putovanja jest putnički brod čija namjena nije prijevoz osoba od jedne luke do druge luke odredišta, nego je namijenjen za uživanje u putovanju i sadržajima na brodu (luksuznom ugođaju, avanturama, obrazovanju, kulturi, zabavi, sportskim aktivnostima, wellnessu ili rekreaciji). Opremljen je za višednevni boravak putnika i mora pružati usluge prehrane, pića i napitaka te usluge smještaja. Brod za kružna putovanja pristaje na svojem putu u lukama koje su zanimljive turističke destinacije.

Foreign vessel on cruise means a passenger ship intended rather to provide passengers with a pleasure of a journey and facilities for entertainment aboard (luxurious atmosphere, adventures, education, culture, entertainment, sports activities, wellness or recreation) than the transport of persons from one seaport to another. It is equipped for a multi-day stay of passengers aboard and must provide food, drinks and accommodation services. On its journey, a foreign vessel on cruise stops in seaports of several interesting destinations.

Putovanje je ulazak stranog broda za kružna putovanja u prvu luku teritorijalnog mora Republike Hrvatske.

A journey is an entry of a foreign vessel on cruise into the first seaport of the internal sea waters of the Republic of Croatia.

Putnici na brodu jesu osobe koje su doputovale brodom, bez obzira na dob. Članovi posade na brodu ne smatraju se putnicima.

Passengers on board are any persons who arrived by ship irrespective of age, providing that he/she is not a crew member.

Dani boravka broda čine ukupan broj dana koje brod provede u teritorijalnome moru Republike Hrvatske.

Sojourns represent a total number of days a ship spends in the internal sea waters of the Republic of Croatia.
