Business demography - NOTES ON METHODOLOGY (link) Since the reference year 2021, methodological standards have been applied in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2019/2152 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 November 2019 on European business statistics, by which the coverage of the section K – Financial and insurance activities is extended with group K642 – Activities of holding companies. In 2019, there was a break in time series, which is marked with letter „b“ next to the data that are not comparable with previous periods. Further explanations related to the break in time series are available in the document Break in time series for 2019 - Notes on Methodology (link) . The number of enterprises and the number of persons employed in the activity codes H5221 and H5222 for the years 2010 to 2016 were revised in July 2019 due to a technical error in data preparation.
