NOTES
ON METHODOLOGY
In certain tables, it may happen that the sum total does not equal the sum of
individual figures due to the rounding.
Source and methods
of data collection
The purpose of the survey
is to collect data on transport of goods in inland waterways of the Republic of
Croatia. Collected are the data on quantity of goods transported as well as on
tonne kilometres as units of transport performance.
Observation units are all
arrived or departed vessels on inland waterways.
Since the third quarter of
2022, data on inland waterway transport have been collected via the Inland
Navigation Information System (ISUP) of the Ministry of Sea, Traffic and
Infrastructure. Until the third quarter of 2022, the data were collected by the
Report on Arrival of Vessels in Inland Waterway Ports and the Report on
Departure of Vessels from Inland Waterway Ports. The data were delivered by
harbour master’s offices of inland waterway ports.
The survey is conducted according to the statistical standards of the European
Union on statistics of goods transport in inland waterways, the Regulation
No 974/2018 as well as with all related regulations.
