Effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on socioeconomic indicators

In November 2022, compared to November of the previous year, the turnover from service activities, according to working-day adjusted indices, increased at the annual level by 18.2%, which was an increase for the twenty-first month in a row, after the decrease in the turnover which accompanied the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The monthly turnover from service activities, seasonally and working-day adjusted, increased by 1.4% in November 2022 compared to October 2022.

In the first eleven months of 2022, the turnover from service activities, working day adjusted, increased by 24.0% compared to the same period of the previous year.

In the Republic of Croatia in November 2022, compared to November 2019, the turnover decreased in the following activities: J63 Information service activities (by 8.8%), L68 Real estate activities (by 5.1%), J58 Publishing activities (by 4.8%), J60 Programming and broadcasting activities (by 2.0%), N79 Travel agency, tour operator reservation services and related activities (by 1.2%) and J59 Motion picture, video and television programme production, sound recording and music publishing activities (by 0.1%).

The largest increase in turnover was realised in the following activities: H50 Water transport (of 94.7%), N82 Office administrative, office support and other business support activities (of 65.7%), M702 Management consultancy activities (of 48.6%), G46 Wholesale trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles (of 42.7%) and H52 Warehousing and support activities for transportation (of 42.0%).
