Natural resources are an exceptional wealth for every country, and the availability and reserves of drinking water are something Croatia can be proud of. Therefore, preservation of water should definitely be the focus – specifically, the construction and maintenance of the water supply network, investments in water purification, and, in general, raising awareness of environmental protection. The latter can be supported by data from environmental statistics, which provide insight into the current situation as well as changes made over the years.

The total volume of water distributed from the public water supply in 2025 amounted to 330 474 thousand m3, which was 1.2% more than in 2024.

The total length of the public water main network was 51 605 km, which was an increase of 1.4% compared to 2024.

In 2025, the total volume of waste waters amounted to 350 093 thousand m3, which was a decrease of 4.9% compared to 2024.
