Monitoring the election results has its statistical aspect, and in that sense, one of the most interesting statistical indicators is certainly sex distribution. Its importance is supported by one of the indicators of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations, and it refers to the share of women in national parliaments and local governments.
In the election for the Croatian Parliament, held in 2024, a slightly higher number of women representatives were elected, 37 of them, compared to the last term of the Croatian Parliament, when 34 were elected.
The new Government, which received a vote of confidence on 17 May 2024, has a total of 18 ministers, out of which two are female ministers, while the previous Government had 16 ministers, out of which four were female ministers. It is important to note that the decisions of the Croatian Parliament on giving a vote of confidence to the Government of the Republic of Croatia are taken into account, but the changes that occurred in the time intervals between those decisions are not.
Data related to local elections are unchanged compared to last year.
